We are a locally based painting company proudly serving Salt Spring Island, providing high-quality residential painting services with a focus on reliability, clean workmanship, and long-lasting results.
Our work includes interior painting, exterior painting, and wood staining, with careful attention to preparation, detail, and finish. We understand that every home is different, and we take the time to do the job properly — from surface prep to final coat.
As a local business, we value clear communication, punctuality, and respect for your property. We keep job sites clean, work efficiently, and aim to make the entire process smooth and stress-free.

Transparency
We are dedicated to being 100% clear and honest about our pricing. That includes accurate quotes, with detailed breakdowns of the cost of paint, supplies, labour and taxes. We do our best to stay true to these estimates. If any changes or adjustments are absolutely necessary, we present the situation immediately and ensure that you are comfortable with the changes before moving forward.
Quality
We ensure the highest level of workmanship possible. We guarantee that you will be satisfied with the level of quality on your project. Whatever your expectations are, we will meet or exceed them. We only walk away from a project once we are proud of the result. If, for any reason, you find you are not satisfied, we will correct the issue for free.
Affordability
We understand that price matters. We offer only reasonable rates. Our commitment is to find a price that both you, the client, and us, the business, are confident moving forward with. We are certain that we offer the best rates for the standard of quality we deliver. That does not mean we are the cheapest company on the market. What that boils down to is that we offer high-level quality at a mid-level price point. If you find yourself uncomfortable with our estimate, you may contact us and present your proposal. It will respectfully be taken into consideration.
Timeliness
This is the key to running a successful business. It has been a primary goal of ours since we first began. This means that we will honour your schedule and timeline. We will start your project within a reasonable amount of time. If we are unable to start your project during the dates you require, we will be upfront about it. Timeliness also means finishing the project swiftly, but without cutting corners. We employ the most efficient strategies to ensure the project gets done without unnecessary hold ups.
Respect
Mutual respect is very important to us. This means, you will be treated with respect, warmth, personability and humour. We will not speak with vulgarity on the jobsite, play vulgar music or be excessively noisey. We will treat you and your home or business considerately and ensure that things are kept orderly and tidy throughout the renovation.
SKYLAR LANGE BIO
Skylar Lange is the owner and primary operator of Sky Paint Co. He has been in the business of painting for approximately 15+ years.
In 2006, he graduated High School in Prince Albert, Sk and began his first painting job at Dodge & Son Painting Ltd. One of the largest painting outfits in P.A. He worked 5 spring - fall seasons here, focused mostly on large commercial work. Apprenticing under journeymen painters, he learned the skills necessary to handle almost any project.
In 2012, he moved to B.C. to take a Design program at the Vancouver Film School. Here he learned many design techniques which gave him an eye for detail, style, aesthetic and systematic thinking.
In 2016, he moved to Saskatoon and started Sky Paint Co. With the painting skills he acquired as a young man, combined with a keen eye for design. The company was instantly sustainable. At first, word of mouth, connections and networking kept things moving along smoothly.
2020 marked a new era for the company. He leaned more heavily on design, marketing, advertising, and growing an online presence. The company is now reaching new heights.
In 2022 he moved to Salt Spring Island and teamed with long time friend and fellow renovator, Tyler Parker. Together they've added more services to their repertoire, such as carpentry, flooring and high-end wood finishing.
Sky Paint Co. is able to welcome new members and employees and will only continue to expand and grow. There is no end in sight and no ceiling to limit its potential.
